Get a behind-the-scenes look at Joybound People & Pets in Walnut Creek, CA.

An informative volunteer docent will guide you through parts of Joybound not open to the public, including our clinic, dental suite, and newly-constructed animal care expansion. Learn about our history, rescue efforts, transformative community programs like Pets and Vets, and more.

You might even meet a new furry friend at the end of your tour!

Important: Tour may pass by animals receiving medical treatment. This may include, but is not limited to, animals under anesthesia, receiving surgery, or intubation.

Please note: We are not accepting requests for youth school group tours at this time.

Key Details

Tour length: approximately 60 minutes.

Group size: 5-15 people. Larger groups may need to be divided into separate tours. We are unable to accommodate groups larger than 30 per day at this time.

Date Availability: Any day, including weekends, between 10 am and 3 pm, subject to docent availability.We greatly appreciate your interest in supporting Joybound!

Joybound requires minimum three weeks advance notice for most requests.

Included Therapy Animal Visit: You may request to meet a therapy dog as part of your tour experience; however, having an animal present cannot be guaranteed or may require scheduling a different date.

Joybound requires staff, volunteers, and visitors to follow all current safety recommendations from Contra Costa Health Services.
