Animals provide powerful therapeutic benefits for many people, but for people managing emotional or mental health conditions, they have added practical benefits and can significantly improve their quality of life.
Shelter to Service, formerly Pets and Vets, was launched in 2011 as a program providing free adoptions to U.S. military Veterans. Now including a variety of services, Joybound's flagship program transforms rescue animals into emotional support animals and offers a personalized matching experience. Additionally, emotional support dogs learn basic foundational skills prior to being matched with an applicant.

Shelter to Service Code of Conduct
Overview
The Shelter to Service Code of Conduct was created to promote a welcoming, supportive, and respectful environment. It is expected that everyone participating adheres to these expectations. If not, Shelter to Service staff reserve the right to decline or excuse you from receiving services from the Shelter to Service program.
