If you are applying for a dog that needs regular grooming (Shih Tzu, Schnauzer, Doodle, etc.) please provide us with the name and number of your groomer. We require a grooming reference for these types of dogs.

Emergencies happen, usually after hours it seems, and emergency care can get very expensive very quickly. What plans do you have in place if your pet required emergency medical care? Please explain: *

It may take your new pet two or more weeks to adjust to their new environment, especially if other pets or children are involved. Are you willing to give your pet extra time to adjust if needed? *

Some of the dogs come with emotional baggage. They may have issues with resource guarding, barriers, leashes, men, people with hats, etc. We try to do our best to figure out all these quirks ahead of time. Are you willing to make any needed accommodations to your home or lifestyle to meet the individual needs of the dog? It may include feeding them alone, not leaving toys or treats in common areas, using a crate or not using a crate, having a pet sitter instead of boarding your dog, basic training and home skills etc. *

The adoption fee is $300 for dogs/puppies. If adopted out of state, the adoption fee is $525. (This is the $300 adoption fee plus the transport fee and addition vetting required to obtain an interstate health certificate to travel. Additional vetting requirements vary by state). The adoption fee for kittens/cats is $150.

The adoption fees are our main source of funding and help with some of the expenses of vetting and caring for the dog's day to day needs. Please acknowledge that you read and agree to the adoption fee by checking the box below. *
