St. Alphonsus Baptism Date Request

The Rite of Baptism for Children includes these words, "The Christian community welcomes you with great joy." And it is also with great joy that our church helps parents prepare for the baptism of their baby.

In bringing forward your child for baptism, you seek to make a permanent connection between your child and Christ with the Christian community. No matter how close or distant your own relationship with God, the new life of your child has stirred a desire in you to seek baptism for him or her. In this sacrament, the Christian community promises to walk beside you in nurturing the faith of your child.

Please complete the form below if you would like to request a baptism date at St. Alphonsus. Baptisms generally take place on Sundays at 2pm. Please note, we can only accommodate 4 children at a time for baptism dates.

Baptismal Sponsors

If two sponsors (godparents) are chosen, one is required to be male and the other female. At least one of the sponsors must be a baptized and confirmed Catholic. A Christian Witness is a non-Catholic baptized in the Trinitarian format (in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and serves with the Catholic sponsor. The sponsor or witness should be 16 years of age or older. The Catholic sponsor(s) must provide proof that they are in good standing with the church prior to the baptism.
