SCRIPT FOR ANNOUNCERS

Please include important information about your entry that you would like to be conveyed to the audience. Bullet points in order of importance are also effective. Depending on how quickly your entry moves past the announcer booths there may not be enough time to read everything before the next entry appears.
The bullet points can be brief. The Announcers can fill in the blanks and work the points in conversationally.

For example:

Please welcome the XYZ's. They are an Old West themed equestrian group based out of Your Town. Today they are adorned in authentic western attire from the late 1800's.

1. Formed in 1947.
2. 200 plus active members
3. Particpated in last years Rose Parade
4. This is their 7th appearance in the Annual President's Day Parade

Please maintain a forward motion!

The 2025 Indio Presidents Day Parade is adjudicated meaning there will be judges present. If you wish to participate in the awards please promise to send somebody from your entry to the awards ceremony following the parade. All entries must keep moving and not stop to perform for the judges.

There will be a pre-parade judging for all of the entries such as cheerleaders, dance groups etc., in Miles Avenue Park. More details will be sent to you as we determine the number of units to participate in the early judging.

The awards ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on the Celebration Stage in the Fairgrounds. If you want particpate with the judging please have your group or a representative attend. You will receive free Fair admission tickets in the entry packet that you will pick up at check in.
