1. The subcontractor is responsible for all tools and/or equipment related to his or her trade.
2. The subcontractor is responsible for supplying and maintaining a smart phone with a data plan and a valid email address.
3. Deductions may be made from monies owing to the Sub-contractor for any damages or deficiencies. MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. may charge back a minimum rate of $35.00 per hour for any repairs done by others due to poor workmanship.
4. The subcontractor will be remitting all their own necessary deductions and/or payments required by Canada Revenue Agency and Workers Compensation Board (WCB, CPP, EI, GST & TAX) for the work services provided to BKS.
5. The subcontractor shall wear the appropriate PPE requirements at MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. field sites as identified and communicated by the PJHA (Pre-Job Hazard Analysis). Steel toed boots, hard hats and safety glasses are a minimum requirement on all MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. sites.
6. The subcontractor is responsible to observe all health and safety rules and to take reasonable care to promote them at each job site.
7. The subcontractor will be required to be orientated prior to starting work. This orientation will be conducted by a MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. supervisory representative.
8. In order to work safely you may be required to have an English Proficiency Test if English is not your first language.
9. Sub Contractors are responsible for their own safety training and certifications to include but not limited to Fall Protection, Aerial Powered Lift, WHMIS and First Aid.
10. The Sub Contractor agrees to allow MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. to deduct $50.00 per pay period should MOUNTAIN AIR CONSTRUCTION LTD. be required pay for the Sub Contractor or his/her workers to attend required safety training.
11. The Sub Contractor agrees to accept a training allowance of $100.00 per regular work day missed while in required safety training programs/courses. Courses attended on weekends are not compensated as the the subcontractor is responsible for their own training and certifications.
