North Carolina Law School Consortium
2010 EASTERN & WESTERN JOB FAIRS
Dedicated to firms with 25 or fewer attorneys

Dear Colleague:

The seven North Carolina law schools and the North Carolina Bar Association have joined forces to sponsor the 2010 Eastern and Western Job Fairs to match up lawyers in organizations and smaller firms in North Carolina with law students. These job fairs will provide employers with the opportunity to interview students for summer clerkships or entry-level positions, and there is no charge for employers to participate.

For your convenience, the job fairs have been scheduled on two Saturdays. The Eastern Job Fair will be held at the NC Bar Center in Cary on Saturday, March 20 and the Western Job Fair will be held at the Charlotte School of Law on Saturday, March 27. Our hope is that you will participate at the fair most convenient for you.

If you would like to attend either job fair, or if you cannot attend but would like resumes collected and forwarded to you for review, please complete the Webform below by Monday, February 1. For those employers who plan to interview students at either job fair, resumes of interested students will be collected and forwarded to you electronically by Tuesday, February 16. You will need to advise us of the students selected for interviews by Tuesday, February 23, to allow time for student notification and scheduling. Your interview schedule will be faxed to you in advance of the fair. The job fairs will begin with employer check-in at 9:30 a.m. Interviews will be scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in 30-minute intervals. Lunch will be provided at noon for all employers. For those employers who are receiving resumes only, you may contact students directly at your convenience.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to interview students from North Carolina’s law schools. Please complete the registration form below and return it as soon as possible (deadline February 1). We look forward to your participation and to seeing you at the job fairs this spring.

If you have questions about the job fair, please contact either Kala Glenn-Pruitt at University of North Carolina School of Law at 919-962-0280 or kvglennp@email.unc.edu or Linda Spagnola at North Carolina Central University School of Law at 919-530-6510 or
