the 2010 Nonprofit Leader Awards

Online Nominations Process:

The nominations process for the Catalytic, Visionary, and Transformational Leadership Awards is as follows:

Nominations will be accepted from someone familiar with the nominee. MCN will not be accepting self-nominations. The nominator will be asked to submit answers to six questions about the nominee (listed below).

1. How long have you known the nominee and in what capacity?

2. Why is this nominee deserving of the award?

3. How does the nominee meet all of the criteria for the award?

4. To the best of your ability, describe this person’s career in the nonprofit sector. (positions held, duties, community involvement)

5. Describe a situation that involved the nominee that demonstrates his/her leadership abilities.

6. Please add any additional comments about the nominee that would help the selection committee. The information should help inform the selection committee about the nominee that would not be widely known.

Nominees will be selected and awarded by a Selection Committee made up of MCN staff, board members, and MCN Nonprofit Leadership Institute alumni.

Nominees will be notified of their nomination and nominators will also be notified if their nominee does or does not accept the nomination.

  • Once you submit your nomination, you will receive an email which confirms that your nomination has been received.  The nominee will also receive an email that they have been nominated for one of the Nonprofit Leader Awards.

PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR NOMINATION BEFORE YOU HIT THE 'SUBMIT' BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.  ONCE YOU HIT 'SUBMIT,' YOUR NOMINATION CANNOT BE CHANGED.

STEP ONE: PROVIDE NOMINATOR INFORMATION

STEP TWO: PROVIDE NOMINEE INFORMATION

STEP THREE: SELECT THE NONPROFIT LEADER AWARD CATEGORY. YOU MAY ONLY SELECT ONE CATEGORY PER NOMINATION.

STEP FOUR: ANSWERS THE FOLLOWING SIX QUESTIONS ABOUT THE NOMINEE

Nominators must submit answers to all six questions for a nominee to be considered for the Nonprofit Leader Award.  Please keep answers to no more than 300 words per answer. 

STEP FIVE: REVIEW AND SUBMIT

PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE YOU HIT THE 'SUBMIT' BUTTON BELOW.  ONCE YOU HIT 'SUBMIT,' YOUR APPLICATION CANNOT BE CHANGED.

Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email which confirms that it has been received.
